BNY Mellon Investment Management has announced a new management team for its Asia Pacific business. The new structure will see additions in both Hong Kong and Singapore.

In a press release the firm said that, Lindsay Wright, who will be based in Hong Kong, been appointed Head of Distribution, Asia Pacific. Wright will be responsible for leading BNY Mellon Investment Management’s distribution efforts across financial institutions, governments, sovereign wealth funds and intermediaries in the region.

She previously worked with Invesco as regional Head of Institutional, Alternatives and Investment Solutions, and was also Co-CEO of Harvest Capital Management and CEO of Harvest Alternative Investments. Prior to this Wright had a lengthy career with Deutsche Bank in a number of positions globally.

Additional Responsibility

Lindsay Wright will also take on responsibility as Co-Head of APAC, alongside Doni Shamsuddin, Chief Product & Operating Officer, who was appointed Co-Head of APAC in January. Both Wright and Shamsuddin will report to Matt Oomen, Head of International Distribution, BNY Mellon Investment Management.

Singapore Push

In addition, Nicolas Kopitsis has been named Head of Intermediary Distribution Asia, ex-Japan, and is now based in Singapore. Formerly BNY Mellon Investment Management Country Head for Switzerland. He will also report directly to Lindsay Wright.
