J.P. Morgan and the Korea Foundation for Women, a Seoul-based non-profit organization, have joined forces to help women from multicultural and low-income families to launch small businesses and boost their earnings potential.

The My Future, My Business program provides business support and training for women to help them develop sustainable small enterprises that appeal to the local Korean market.

Participants will get basic and practical business management training and mentoring in key areas such as planning, financial management, product development and marketing. In the second phase of the program, mentors and business consultants will give selected teams in-depth training to help them further their plans. The program also offers some seed capital to promising teams as well as continuous consultation and operational support.

Established in 1999, Korea Foundation for Women works to promote women’s rights and gender equality and empower socially and economically disadvantaged groups of women in Korea.
