Chinese Boutique Law Firm Launches International Network

The Chinese boutique law firm Ke Jie has teamed up with more than twenty like-minded firms around the world to form a new network.

Cathay Associates is a full service legal platform that aims to offer “more flexibility than the multinational global networks.” Each of the members is an independent entity and the network is expected to have representation on every continent by the end of 2016.

Managing Partner He Jie said, “This year is critical for Kejie’s development, we plan to recruit more high-quality partners to our team.  Besides recruiting partners who will be focusing on our current practice areas such as mergers and acquisitions, private financing, private equity and venture capital, investment fund, securities issuance and capital markets. We plan to expand our practice areas, such as intellectual property, banking and finance,  bankruptcy and restructuring, anti-trust, anti-dumping, labour law and dispute resolution. In addition, we also plan to establish offices in Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Chengdu, in order to provide better legal services to our clients. We want to make Kejie an international full-service boutique law firm.”

Currently the new network will operate in Bangkok, Barcelona. Beijing, Belgrade, Bratislava, Bucharest, Budapest, Kuala Lumpur, Madrid, Paris, Prague, Sofia, Tirana, Warsaw, Vienna, Valetta and Zagreb.
