MoneyGram Expands Network With Agricultural Bank Of China

Consumers in China now have more convenient access to money transfer services than ever before through MoneyGram (MGI), a global provider of innovative money transfer and payment services.

The company has reached an agreement with Agricultural Bank of China that will enable customers in the most remote areas of the country to receive and send cross-border remittances.

"MoneyGram is proud to work with Agricultural Bank of China, one of the largest state-owned commercial banks in the country," says Alex Holmes, MoneyGram's chief financial officer and chief operating officer. "The new relationship will play a key role in helping MoneyGram achieve its goal of expanding its network to consumers in all corners of the country, both urban and rural."

China is the second-largest receive country in the world. According to the World Bank, $64 billion dollars flowed into China last year. MoneyGram's expansive network of more than 20,000 locations in China provides convenient and reliable money transfer access for our customers in some of the smallest towns and in the largest cities.
