Following some recent departures JP Morgan has re calibrated the management of its Asian private banking units with the operation now jointly managed by Andrew Cohen and Peter Flavel

BNP Paribas has appointed a new country head of Australia and New Zealand and chief executive of its Sydney branch, James Gibson. Gibson will be responsible for managing the bank's overall activities in Australasia. He will report to Eric Raynaud, chief executive of BNP Paribas Asia Pacific.

Sauran Gupta has left his position at Julius Baer in Singapore where he had been executive director and team head.

Gareth Berry the Singapore based foreign-exchange strategist has resigned from UBS.

The head of Citigold Private Clients in Hong Kong Maria Leung has left the bank.

Shin Yamaguchi has been relocated to Hong Kong from Tokyo by Diam Asset Management to develop distribution channels for the Japanese fund manager.
